Immunity Booster Tea

As many of you know I have struggled with pertussis for the last month which sent me on a quest to keep my immunity system as strong as possible from now on during winter months. This is not a substitution for vaccinations. I would have contracted pertussis regardless because I did not have my booster in the last 10 years, but I do believe the severity could be different as well as fighting other common colds by introducing a tea like this to your mornings. I have been drinking it for two weeks every morning and I can say that today, I am almost back to my old self.

Immunity Booster Tea

1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp ginger (I get minced ginger in a jar)
1 tsp tumeric
1 tbsp Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar
1 packet tangerine flavored EmergenC
12 – 15 oz of hot water

Tumeric is an anti-inflammatory, helps with depression, arthritis pain and can help in the prevention of certain cancers. Chronic inflammation is the precursor to so many illnesses, especially illnesses developed later in life. The benefits of ginger are endless, not only is it too a powerful anti-inflammatory but is also an antioxidant. Its a natural remedy for nausea and constipation and helps to fight bacterial infections. Apple Cider Vinegar is a powerful detoxing agent that helps with heart burn, acid reflux, promotes healthy weight loss as well as healthy blood sugar levels. Cinnamon is also a powerful anti-inflammatory and immunity booster. I choose to use EmergenC over other vitamin C because the flavor of this tea is much tastier.
